Every Dream Starts Somerwhere…
…Chase It Until You Emerge Victorious!

It’s amazing how a single innocent moment as a young boy can spark a dream — one that later becomes reality as a man.

And no, it’s not a typo. Somerwhere and Victorious are references to the places where both drivers were born — Somerset, England and Melbourne, Victoria — the places where their dreams started, and the places they left in order to chase them until they emerged victorious.

Exploring this concept has been a passion project, from creating the concept artwork to writing the short film script, as it’s allowed me to combine many of my passions: F1, film, and editing. I felt inspired this past year to not only capture this full-circle moment but to honour their achievements. It has also allowed me to learn more about myself — such as my perseverance, my growth as a scriptwriter, and, after researching and experimenting with it, my growing dislike for Generative AI.

There was something deeply moving about imagining two innocent little boys, completely lost in their own worlds, unburdened by anything beyond their imaginations. Then, something inside them was triggered — a spark that set their minds alight. Their thoughts and dreams began to run free, wild and untameable, until they could no longer keep them contained. The only escape was to chase them, to follow that unrelenting urge, no matter where it led.

Now, as they look back on those years of trials and tribulations, the sacrifices, and leaving home, I’m sure they’ve found peace in knowing they never gave up. Despite all the times they could have lost hope, they held on, and in the end, it’s that very persistence that brought them to where they are now, becoming their own hero.
